Travel at Ease, the Iberostar complimentary assurance package, now arrives at its Cuban resorts to provide support for guests during their stay in the unlikely event that their vacation is interrupted due to Covid-19 symptoms. The company has developed this range of services to offer extra peace of mind to both customers and partners trusting Iberostar.
Iberostar recently announced the launch of Travel at Ease in Mexico, Jamaica, the Dominican Republic and Brazil. After its great reception by sales partners, the hotel chain is now announcing its expansion to the rest of its destinations, such as Cuba, Europe and North Africa. In all destinations, these measures are extended for stays until August 2021 and for all reservations, including those made through trusted partners. The company wants to reinforce the commitment to its sales partners by providing this complimentary assurance package Travel at Ease for customers who come through tour operators, travel agencies and other distribution channels.
“We continue to move forward in caring for our guests and partners by offering increasingly more responsible and care-free experiences. After the presentation of ExtraCare - a travel insurance with medical coverage exclusively for reservations through our own channels, such as our website or the direct sales platform for travel agencies (Iberostar PRO) - we are now happy to announce the global launch of Travel at Ease which offers our partners extra peace of mind”, said Finn Ackermann, global commercial director of Iberostar Hotels & Resorts.
Through Travel at Ease, Iberostar reinforces its commitment to protecting the well-being of its customers and employees by complementing the more than 300 How We Care health and safety measures developed with the support of a Medical Advisory Council. Travel at Ease comprises services (*see conditions on the website) such as COVID-19 tests in case of exhibiting symptoms, extension of stay at no cost for those tested positive and their families, and isolation rooms with all necessary amenities. Among further special services are constant medical monitoring, contactless room service, and free in room entertainment, games and activities including Star Camp activity packs for children. In case of early departure, guests will receive a full refund of the days not used.
Iberostar resumes its operations in Cuba
Iberostar Group continues moving forward with its scaled calendar for resuming operations in Cuba, where five of its hotels are welcoming guests again. Its return to operations started in Varadero with Iberostar Selection Varadero, Iberostar Origin Bella Vista Varadero Varadero Varadero Varadero Varadero Varadero Varadero Varadero, Iberostar Origin Taínos, and in Cayo Guillermo with Iberostar Daiquirí. Most recently, the hotel chain has reopened its first hotel Havana, Iberostar Selection Parque Central, with hopefully more to follow in the coming months - border restrictions, demand and air connectivity permitting.
The company consolidates quality through innovation and renovation of its product, and has used the lockdown to update facilities in the country. In Iberostar Selection Varadero, part of the rooms and the buffet restaurant have been refurbished with a completely new approach under the premises of personalized service, with further improvements implemented in the lobby, front desk and beach access areas of Iberostar Taínos.
