Iberostar Group strengthens its presence in the Americas with the opening of a new hotel in Lima
Iberostar continues to reinforce its commitment to leading responsible tourism by inaugurating Iberostar Selection Miraflores, the first plastic-free hotel in the Peruvian capital.
Our first hotel in Peru, the Iberostar Selection Miraflores, located in the heart of Lima, opened for business on 1st October. After more than 25 years in Latin America, Peru was the choice for the latest addition to our American portfolio. A dedicated team of just under 100 professionals is currently working hard to deliver the very best service to our first guests, following the opening of our first hotel in this new destination.
Lima’s first plastic-free hotel
As part of our Wave of Change movement to conserve the seas and oceans, this new hotel is the first in Lima to be entirely free of single-use plastics. Another key value of this new property is its focus on Peruvian gastronomy, with a culinary offer based on responsibly sourced first-class fish and shellfish, thereby benefiting both the health of our oceans as well as fishing communities.
A luxury experience in Miraflores
The five-star, 214-room Iberostar Selection Miraflores offers a luxury experience in the heart of the city. Its design, inspired by the beauty of the Pacaya Samiria nature reserve, creates a warm and welcoming atmosphere in an avant-garde new build. The rooms have been designed to enable guests to enjoy the urban location and afford unique views of the stunning waterfront esplanade. The hotel amenities include its Cosmos Level, a new concept featuring exclusive spaces in the hotel, as well as other advantages such as the concierge service and private meeting rooms. Based on tradition, classic flavours and top quality ingredients, the hotel pays tribute to Peru’s magnificent gastronomy, served in its speciality restaurants Ortega & Huamán and 27 Tapas. Both under the expert guidance of leading Peruvian chef Carlos Testino.
A unique environment
The new property, which boasts a prime location in Miraflores, one of the Peruvian capital’s most dynamic, attractive and modern districts, offers guests easy access to the Pacific Ocean. This famous district of Lima is famous for its succession of beaches and parks that form a vast seafront esplanade with a natural ocean viewpoint. The hotel’s 18 floors, topped by a rooftop terrace with an infinity pool, overlooks much of the city, offering visitors panoramic views of the ocean and stunning sunsets.
