Iberostar Hotels & Resorts is reinforcing its quality offer in the Balearic Islands with the opening of the new Iberostar Waves Cala Domingos, the hotel group’s sixteenth hotel in Majorca, on 29 April. Completely renovated and located in one of the most idyllic coves in Majorca in the southeast of the island, the complex is the perfect resort for active couples and families looking to enjoy their holidays on the coast, surrounded by nature. Iberostar Waves Cala Domingos offers a generous all-inclusive package as well as the half board option for those who wish to explore the island.
A resort for nature lovers
The landscape of leafy pines sloping down to the cove bathed by the turquoise waters of the Mediterranean is the star of the natural experience offered by the location of the new Iberostar Waves Cala Domingos. Surrounded by native vegetation, the complex has two swimming pools, over 350 rooms, and is designed in light-coloured timber that is typical of modern, Mediterranean, residential style. The resort is mostly made up of bungalow-style houses that offer an incomparable connection with the environment. It also features two 6-person Family Villas, including a lounge and terrace with sea views –- perfect for groups of friends and multigenerational families looking to create memories. A fully equipped gym, mini-golf, entertainment, grocery shop and tennis court complete the offering.
Over the last few years, a radical renovation plan has been implemented throughout the complex to renew its facilities and offer a service of the highest quality that is respectful of the surrounding ecosystem. The result is a fantastic seaside hotel for couples and families, offering varied leisurely activities for adults, entertainment for the little ones through its Star Camp children’s club programme and a perfect range of foods, to enjoy a truly unique experience.
This new opening consolidates the hotel company's strategy based on its Wave of Change movement: to promote the circular economy, encourage responsible consumption of fish and improve coastal health. In addition to operating free of single-use plastic in all areas, to the extent allowed by the law, Iberostar Waves Cala Domingos promotes the supply of fish and shellfish from responsible sources in its establishments and guarantees the use of high-quality local products through its Honest Food programme.
Iberostar Group, born in Majorca over 60 years ago, reinforces its dedication to the Balearic region and strengthens its commitment to a characteristic local and Mediterranean essence, with a particular focus on the local communities that surround its hotels.
According to Javier Muñoz, Iberostar Group’s Operations Manager for the Europe, Middle East and Africa region: “We are working to transform the Balearic Islands into a world benchmark for responsible tourism, taking care of our environment and our people, and consistently offering a high-quality service in the best locations. The opening of the Iberostar Waves Cala Domingos shows our commitment to this model of tourism and consolidates our offer and dedication to Majorca, a key destination for the company”.
