Following the lines of the Iberostar Group's sustainability strategy to lead a responsible tourism model, this new hotel will be inaugurated free of single-use plastics in all its areas
Located very close to the medieval town of Budva and with a privileged view of the Adriatic, the new five-star hotel will open its doors on April 1st
Iberostar Waves Slavija's opening reflects the company's strong commitment to offering its guests the highest standards of quality in truly extraordinary locations
Iberostar Hotels & Resorts reinforces its quality offer in Europe with the opening of the new Iberostar Waves Slavija, the Group's third hotel in Montenegro, which will start operating on 1 April. The Spanish firm, present in the Balkan country since 2005, adds a five-star hotel to its catalogue as part of its commitment to this destination, also known as the "Pearl of the Adriatic".
This new hotel, which is 100% electric and newly built, will operate free of single-use plastics in all its areas and allows the Iberostar Group to strengthen its sustainability proposal in the destination, as Montenegro recently celebrated its 30 years as an Ecological State. In this country, the firm currently has two hotels located in the towns of Herceg Novi and Budva, which allow guests to discover the historical and cultural richness of the area and its natural beauty.
Javier Muñoz, Iberostar Group Operations Director for the Europe, Middle East and Africa region, states that "the opening of this new hotel reinforces our commitment to one of the most important emerging destinations in the Adriatic and confirms our commitment to responsible tourism and to continue offering a quality product to our customers".
Iberostar Waves Slavija: between the beauty of the Adriatic and the uniqueness of a medieval city
Overlooking the Adriatic and only a few metres from Slovenska Beach, one of the best beaches in Montenegro, the new five-star hotel offers a luxury experience with breathtaking views and a complete Spa Sensations with sauna, hammam and Turkish bath. However, what makes this exclusive oasis truly special - apart from its simple and elegant architectural style - is its 9 floors crowned by a rooftop infinity pool that offers visitors a unique panoramic view of Budva, a charming medieval town just a few minutes' walk from the hotel, and the sea with the island of Sveti Nikola as a beautiful backdrop.
Iberostar Waves Slavija has 126 rooms, all of them designed with great attention to detail. The hotel is the perfect place to relax in a privileged environment with a unique set of details that combine tradition, culture and beauty.
The Iberostar Group's commitment to promote and continue leading the way in responsible tourism is present in every corner of the hotel. With this new opening, Iberostar aligns its strategy with the three pillars of its Wave of Change movement: promoting the circular economy, encouraging responsible fish consumption and improving coastal health.
