Officially opened on the 1st May 2013, the Son Antem resort will be managed by Iberostar Hotels & Resorts
This is the first five-star Iberostar hotel on the island, raising the total of Majorcan hotels to 14
The Hotel Son Antem, until recently under the control of the Marriot hotel group, has now joined the Iberostar Hotels & Resorts portfolio and opened it’s doors to guests on Wednesday 1st May.
The hotel is the first five-star Iberostar resort on Majorca and expands the brand’s offering on the Spanish island to 14 hotels offering couples and families a variety of services.
According to Xisco Martínez, Sales Director for Spain, Italy, Morocco, Croatia, Montenegro and Cape Verde at Iberostar Hotels & Resorts: "This is a further step in strengthening our commitment to the region where we started, which remains a key destination for us. The new addition shows our firm committment to quality and customer service. The outstanding golf facilities offered by the hotel also means that we can continue to offer products and services that help us to deseasonalise our business."
Situated in Llucmajor on the south of the island, the five-star resort is in an attractive rural setting just a few kilometres from the cultural capital of Palma, the airport and the best beaches on the island.
The hotel is surrounded by two magnificent, internationally renowned 18-hole golf courses which each provide access for guests. The Iberostar Son Antem also has one of the most impressive golf academies in Spain, with advanced learning tutorials for beginners.
The hotel, which will now be known as the Iberostar Son Antem, has 143 rooms and eight suites spread throughout a two-story building. There are nine conference rooms, perfectly equipped for holding meetings, hosting parties or celebrating weddings.
The two restaurants in the five-star hotel offer guests the opportunity to try delicious, traditional and international cuisine. After dinner guests can enjoy a cocktail in the lobby bar or watch the sunset at the swimming pool bar.
The hotel offers a wide variety of facilities to keep everyone entertained. Guests can unwind by the swimming pool or venture to the SPA which features a sauna, gym, hairdresser and a beauty salon. For those who enjoy sport, there are facilities for tennis or volleyball and not forgetting the two top class 18 hole golf courses where you can practise your swing.
